OTV visits Tacubaya on Fourth Street

Off the Vine stopped by Tacubaya, the sister restaurant to the well known Doña Tomás in Oakland.  Opened in 2003, Tacubaya is a casual, yet upscale taqueria located in the Fourth Street shopping district of Berkeley.  Tacubaya is committed to serving authentic Mexican cuisine taking full advantage of the quality and variety of fresh ingredients available in the Bay Area.

Off the Vine attended the opening of the first annual SF Chefs Food. Wine event on Union Square. Here Mayor Newsom talks about cultural diversity, culinary history and what make San Francisco one of the best food towns in the world. Top Chefs Jamie Lauren, Hubert Keller and TV Food Network personality Tyler Florence, Gary Danko and many others are on hand.

OTV visits Eccolo in Berkeley and bid's farewell...

Sadly, after a 5 year run, the restaurant will be closing. Eccolo has been one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area for great Italian cooking, and Chef Christopher Lee’s in house-cured salumi and classic cured meats from the Italian countryside were outstanding. Check out the farewell dinners through the end of August.
