Rachelle’s love for all things delectable comes from growing up with an Italian family where food and wine are the centerpiece of any get-together. She went on to study journalism and French at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. During her time in school, she began catering events at the many wineries along the Central Coast. Now living in the Bay Area, and working at Bijou Restaurant & Bar where she continues her appreciation for the finer things in life.

A long time veteran of the restaurant industry, left the kitchen after taking the wine section of the curriculum at the Culinary Institute of America in NY, to move to the front of the house. His resume contains everything from Dishwasher to Sous Chef and from Food Runner to Food and Beverage Director. Going from London to North Carolina to New York to Virginia and finally settling in Napa/Sonoma. John’s current position of Bar Manager for the Oxbow Wine and Cheese Merchant allows him the opportunity to taste countless great wines from around the North Bay and around the world and pair them with cheeses and a menu which match the wines in value and scope.
